Context
An 18-hectare wine estate in the Var hinterland, comprising vineyards, a vinification cellar, a storage cellar, a direct-sales boutique and the owners' residence.
The estate regularly welcomes visitors for tastings and events. The owners wished to secure their wine stocks (estimated value €180,000), their production equipment and their residence, while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for clientele.
Stakes identified
- •Extended perimeter with professional activity zones and private zones
- •Protection of wine stocks against theft and degradation
- •Management of visitor flows, deliveries and seasonal staff
- •Remote surveillance during closing periods
Arrangements deployed
Security zoning
Three distinct zones: public zone (boutique, car park), professional zone (cellar, storage), private zone (residence). Each zone has its own protection level and access rules.
Professional video protection
12 high-definition cameras covering accesses, the cellar, the storage and stock zones. 30-day recording. Remote access for the owners. GDPR-compliant signage.
Differentiated access control
Badges for permanent employees, temporary codes for seasonal staff, video intercom for visitors. Centralised management of access rights by zone and time window.
Intrusion alarm
Volumetric detectors in the cellar and storage. Magnetic contacts on all openings. Dissuasive exterior siren. Remote monitoring with rapid intervention by a security officer on alert.
Technical supervision
Temperature and humidity sensors in the cellar to protect stocks. Automatic alerts on anomaly. Integration with the climate-control system for immediate reaction.
Outcome
Deployment spanned four weeks, outside the harvest period to minimise impact on activity. The owners now have a complete view of their estate from their smartphone.
The access control system simplified management of seasonal staff and reinforced the traceability of entries and exits. Remote monitoring lets the owners absent themselves with serenity, notably during winter closure.
The estate's insurer validated the installation and granted an 18% reduction on the annual premium.
